Price Reduction just in time for Halloween... #paranormalromance #timetravel

I'm thrilled to announce that my paranormal romance Find Me has been reduced to just
$3.50! If you're looking for a sensual love story between a very determined warlock and a witch who will do whatever it takes to find him you should check out this book.

Find Me holds a special place in my heart. I've never enjoyed writing a book as much as I did with this one. It was a different experience for me. I hope you'll check it out at the new LOWER price.

A love that transcends time…

As her 25th birthday approaches, Riley Sparrow begins to dream of a handsome, intriguing stranger. Each night the dreams get more intense and the stranger starts leaving her clues to his whereabouts. The dreams always end in a whisper…

Find Me.

Riley has denied her birthright her entire life. She descends from a strong line of witches and warlocks, but she's refused her powers up until now. With the help of her estranged grandfather she learns that her mystery man is from the past and his life is in danger. Will her grandfather help her travel back to 1963 to save the man she believes she's meant to be with? A man she knows nothing about but feels a strong connection to.

If she finds him, can she save him from the evil that haunts them both? By securing his past, she knows there can never be a future for them in her time.

Riley closed her eyes and let the heat of the water engulf her tired muscles. Resting her head against the bath pillow, she cleared her mind. The steam seeped out from the bubbles and swirled around the room. Soon the mirror and windows were fogged and a scented mist surrounded the bathroom, creating a relaxing atmosphere. A week's worth of sleepless nights had taken their toll and Riley drifted off.

The squeak of the faucet and the silence that followed distracted her tranquil thoughts. She opened her eyes to find him sitting on the edge of the tub looking at her. For a moment, she felt self-conscious. She glanced down and discovered her body covered in thick, white bubbles. He couldn't see anything but the tops of her shoulders, neck, and face.

"Sorry," he said. "I was afraid the water would overflow."

"Am I awake?"

He shook his head. She noted his green eyes sparkled even in the dim lighting of the bathroom.

"Well, then how—"

"It's complicated." His thin, pink lips formed a small smile. "I can't explain now."

"Why not?"

"There isn't enough time to make you understand while you're in your current state. We need much more time. You can get that for us."

"Are you real or am I crazy?"

"I'm very real, just stuck between realms. I've been waiting for you for a long time." He slid off the side of the tub and knelt down on the floor. "I'm afraid I can't stay very long. I keep trying to figure out how to increase the length of my visits but nothing seems to work."

"I don't know you."

"You will." He reached for the clip in her hair. "May I?"

She nodded.

Once he'd freed her hair from its confines, he smoothed the damp locks out with his hand. "I like when you wear it down. It's so pretty." He continued to stroke her hair. "You're just as beautiful as I remember."

"How do you know me?" She shifted her position to face him. She breathed in his crisp scent. He smelled of spice, maybe a hint of cinnamon.

"I…" He trailed off when his gaze caught her exposed breasts. He looked lost in a distant memory.

When she'd turned to face him she'd upset the bubbles shielding her. Her nipples hardened as she watched him take in her flesh. She no longer felt embarrassed.

"I have to go."

"You keep leaving me. I don't like it." Each time he left, he took a small piece of her with him.

"That's why you need to find me." He leaned forward. "I know you can. You're very powerful." He brushed his lips against her mouth. A rush of warmth coursed through her and settled between her legs. "Find me, Riley." He kissed the corner of her mouth, lingering a second longer than usual. She took the opportunity to run her tongue along his soft lips. "Find me now."

"How?" She wanted more than anything to find this man. "What do I need to do?"

"Tucker…" he whispered.

"What?"

Riley slipped off the bath pillow and under the cold water. She quickly sat up and looked around. The bubbles had evaporated into the freezing water.

Did she turn the faucet off, or did…

I must be crazy.

She thought for a moment. Her mystery man had left her a big clue tonight. Now she needed to figure out what Tucker Sparrow had to do with any of this. It looked as if she would be paying a visit to a man she hadn't seen in a decade.

Find Me... featured on USA Today's Happily Ever After Blog

Thanks to everyone who has added Find Me to your TBR list, purchased it, reviewed it, shared and/or messaged me about the  book.

I couldn't be happier with the buzz starting to surround my little paranormal romance Find Me. As I mentioned in earlier posts this story has been in my head for years. I've always been intrigued with time travel but I never considered myself a paranormal romance author. This is a whole new ballgame for me. I'm normally an erotic, contemporary romance writer so when Find Me debuted I started to wonder where my readers would come from. I'm thrilled that so many of my existing readers are giving it a shot. I've gotten some wonderful messages from people who said they never read time travel or paranormal but because I wrote it they read it. Talk about pressure! I'm thrilled to be finding some new readers in the process. It's been great hearing from all of you!

Find Me was a story that wouldn't leave me alone and I'm glad I took the chance and wrote it. This is the very first scene that popped into my head and ended up being the opening of the book...

The mystery man moved his hand to Riley’s cheek, gently stroking her face before leaning closer to her. The warmth of his breath caressed her lips. Moving his other hand to her hair, he slipped off the band that secured her ponytail and set her long locks free. Tangling his fingers in her tresses, he guided her to his lips. The prickle from the stubble on his jaw brushed her cheek as he placed a soft kiss at the corner of her mouth just below her bottom lip. His signature...

Her stomach fluttered from the contact. When he drew away from her, she craved more. Staring into his green depths, she tried to memorize every feature of his face right down to the tiny mole just below his left earlobe. There was something familiar about the stranger who began visiting her a few nights ago.

“Find me,” he whispered just before fading away.

I had no idea where I was going to take it from there but I knew I had to write it. It turned into a paranormal fantasy featuring a sassy contemporary witch, a sexy persistent warlock and a span of 50 years.

Tease Us Thursday...

Happy New Year!

I'm back with the Tease Us Thursday segment. This feature is open to all authors who would like to spotlight their works. Just send me (ellajade818 at gmail dot com) a 250 word excerpt (any heat level), cover art and buy links by Tuesday evening and I'll include you here.

The Weekend Proposition

“You want me to go to a wedding with you?”
“It’s in Connecticut. I would require your services until Sunday afternoon. All of your expenses would be paid, including a wardrobe which would be yours to keep after the weekend.”

“You need a date?”

“I would need you to appear as my girlfriend.”
“Is this a joke?”
“I wouldn’t joke about something like this. I’ve thought the entire thing through.” “A man who looks like you should have no problem finding a real girlfriend to buy

clothes for and flaunt in front of his family.” She thought for a moment. “Unless there’s something wrong with you.”
“There’s nothing wrong with me.” He raised his voice a bit. “I had planned on attending alone but circumstances have changed. I’m in a bind and from what I gather, you are too.”
Her instincts screamed to run in the opposite direction. She’d never been the type to fall for a scam. “I’m not interested in—”

“I’ll pay you two hundred and fifty thousand dollars for your time.”

“What?” Apparently a side of crazy came with those good looks.
“One hundred and twenty-five thousand today, if you agree.” He pulled out a check from

the inside pocket of the jacket he had draped on the back of the chair. He slipped the mint green paper across the table. “You’ll get the rest on Sunday afternoon.”
“That’s fifty grand a day.” She studied the check. It would take her years to make that kind of money working these shit-end jobs.
“I’m aware.” He nodded as if the money meant nothing. “I’m asking for your time, a commodity I believe should be well compensated.”
Too good to be true.

“Do you make it a habit of paying women to be your girlfriend?” “Pretend girlfriend,” he reminded her. “You would be the first.” “Why me?”

“Does it matter?”
“What exactly do you expect me to do for that money?”

Happy New Year! Bring on 2014...

happy new year photo: happy happy-new-year.gif

2013 was a good year.  I can't really complain. My kids are heathy and happy. My husband is doing well. Both of our families are slowly getting over the losses of his mom and my grandmother. We're in a good place. I look forward to what the new year will bring.

Professionally I've had a very productive year. I dabbled in self-publishing (The Pleasure Inn Series), received my rights back for three of my books from Noble Romance and I've contributed quite a bit to my Beachwalk Press back list (Surrender to Me and The Weekend Proposition). I developed a supportive and amazing Street Team.  I've made many new friends in the industry. Picked up some fantastic readers and have built up my Facebook page. I also had the opportunity to attend Authors After Dark in Savannah where I had the pleasure of meeting face-to-face a very good author friend (Lacey Wolfe), my fantastic publisher (Pamela Tyner) and a fellow Beachwalk Press author (Jaye Shields). I'm fortunate enough to say the words flowed freely this year too.

Which brings me to...

2014

I'm super excited to announce because I've been so productive I have three new releases scheduled to release the first three months of the new year. First up is my very first paranormal romance...

Next is Book One in my Steeple Town Series...

Can time forgive the mistakes of the past?

Lila Crofton flees the town of Steeple when she learns of her boyfriend, Trevor Matheson's, betrayal. Trevor's one-night stand proves to be too much for the young lovers. Lila won't stick around and watch the only man she's ever loved move on with another. She heads to the city and starts over.

Six years later, recently divorced Sheriff Trevor Matheson is picking up the pieces of his life. When his high school sweetheart, Lila, returns to Steeple to bury her father, Trevor sees it as a sign. He's getting over a failed marriage and she's grieving the loss of her dad. They need one another. The timing couldn't be more perfect.

Can the two overcome the ghosts of their past and rekindle a love lost? Is there a second chance in their future, or is their stolen love gone forever?

Coming February 17, 2014

This is what I'm working on next for this series...

Book Two (A Love Discovered) will focus on Cali. She's the wild one of the group and finds herself taken with an older, intriguing recluse. He's more dominant than she's used to, but he finds a way to tame her heart.

Book Three (A Love Unexpected) will be Jenson's story. She's the straight-laced, Dartmouth graduate who never takes a chance until she meets a dark stranger who fills her every desire. Her one night stand leads to more than she ever expected.

And I'm super excited for the release of Book One in my sexy baseball romance...

Stealing His Heart

Will the bad boy pitcher strike out when it comes to love?

Shy music teacher Sophia Ballis has sworn off men. After a bad experience with a college jock she decides it’s better to be alone than to get burned again. She throws herself into her education and new job at a local private school.

Professional baseball pitcher Paxton Hughes is a player both on and off the field. He’s signed to the Kingston Crushers to bring home the coveted championship title. Nothing can get in his way. Serious relationships don’t mix with a life on the road and he never loses focus on the game. One-night stands are his specialty for a reason.

While out jogging one spring morning, the two collide, setting their course in motion. Pax is immediately drawn to the unassuming beauty. Sophia is aware of his reputation and decides one night of meaningless sex with the attractive Texas charmer is just what she needs to move on. Pax has other plans but will his bad-boy persona and demanding schedule ruin any chances of a happily ever after?

Lots of new books are planned for the new year.

I'm excited to announce that coming in January my very first paranormal romance is scheduled to release...

This book has been in my head for quite some time. Last year I finally sat down and put the words on the pages. I'm thrilled with the outcome. It's a very different book from me. I hope you'll agree when I say that I don't think there is another out there quite like it.

In February Book One in my Steeple Town series releases. Some of you may have read this when it was released under a now defunct publisher. I'm ecstatic to announce that Beachwalk Press has contracted the book and now I'll get to finish the series. My 1st paranormal romance finds a home... Find Me

I'm pleased to announce my paranormal time travel novel Find Me has found a home. I recently signed my 8th contract with Beachwalk Press.

Here's a little summary.

A love that transcends time…

Riley Sparrow dreams of a handsome, intriguing stranger who comes to her on her 25th birthday. Each night the dreams get more intense when her night time guest leaves her clues as to his whereabouts. The dream always ends in a whisper…

Find Me…

She has denied her birthright her entire life. She descends from a strong line of witches and warlocks, but has refused her powers up until now. Will her estranged grandfather help her travel back in time to save the man she believes she's meant to be with?

If she finds him, can she save him from the evil that haunts them both? By securing his past, she knows there can never be a future for them in her time.

***

I started writing this one last November. It was one of those stories that didn't take priority but when I had an idea or a thought I'd jot it down. Eventually the tale became front and center in my head and I managed to finish it. Even when I finished it, I couldn't leave it alone. I kept going back and editing and tweaking. Every time I opened the document, I ended up revising the book. That's usually not my style. I'm the type of author who writes the book and that's that. I see the plot develop, the story plays out in my mind, the characters do what I say, and I'm good to go. That wasn't the case this time. I kept going back and playing with it until finally I realized why. This novel is like none I've written before.

It's a paranormal romance. Although horror, witches and vampires are my favorite types of books to read, I never considered myself that type of author. Have we met? I write contemporary, erotic romance. Find Me is about a present day witch who falls for a warlock from 1963. While the contemporary flair is there, a good portion of this book is set in the sixties.

Let's talk about the erotic portion of this novel. Well, that's the thing, there doesn't seem to be any. Again, have we met? I write kink like nobody's business (Be My Everything, Make Me Stay and Surrender to Me come to mind). When I set out to write Find Me there was no reason to think it wouldn't involve sex and lots of it. We have a smokin' hawt warlock who happens to be enjoying the sexual revolution when he comes face to face with a goddess of a witch from the future. That's a total recipe for steamy, smexy sex. Right? Not so much. While this novel doesn't lack the heat and there are no closed door scenes, I seemed to have strayed away from my usual naughty bedroom antics. Why? It didn't feel right this time. I'm not saying you won't be treated to some panty soakin' moments but they are a bit tamer.

Unedited teaser...

The squeak of the faucet turning off distracted her tranquil thoughts. She opened her eyes to find him sitting on the edge of the tub looking down at her. For a moment, she felt self-conscious. She glanced down and discovered her body covered in thick white bubbles. He couldn’t see anything but the tops of her shoulders, neck and face.
“Sorry,” he said. “I was afraid the water would overflow.”
“Am I awake?”
He shook his head. She noted his green eyes sparkled even in the dim lighting of the bathroom.
“Well, then how—“
“It’s complicated.” His thin, pink lips formed a small smile. “I can’t explain now.”
“Why not?”
“There isn’t enough time to make you understand while you’re in your current state. We need much more time. You can get that for us.”
“Are you real or am I crazy?”
“I’m very real just stuck between realms. I’ve been waiting for you for a long time.” He slid off the side of the tub and knelt down on the floor. “I’m afraid I can’t stay very long. I keep trying to figure out how to increase the length of my visits but nothing seems to work.”
“I don’t know you.”
“You will.” He reached for the clip in her hair. “May I?”
She nodded.
Once he freed her hair from its confines, he smoothed the damp locks out with his hand. “I like when you wear it down. It’s so pretty.” He continued to stroke her hair. “You’re just as beautiful as I remember.”
“How do you know me?” She shifted her position to face him placing her arms on the edge of the tub. She breathed in his crisp scent. He smelled of spice maybe a hint of cinnamon.
“I…” He trailed off when his gaze caught her exposed breasts. He looked lost in a distant memory.
When she turned to face him she must have upset the bubbles that had shielded her skin. Her nipples hardened as she watched him take in her flesh. She no longer felt embarrassed.
“I have to go.”
“You keep leaving me. I don’t like it.”
“That’s why you need to find me.”  He leaned forward. “I know you can. You’re very powerful.” He brushed his lips against her jaw. A rush of warmth coursed through her and settled between her legs. “Find me, Riley.” He kissed the corner of her mouth, lingering a second longer than usual. She took the opportunity to run her tongue along his soft lips. “Find me now.”

The intimate encounters get a little more intense as the story unfolds. I mean, come on, I'm still Ella Jade ;) I'm really excited to share this one with you guys. I have several starts in my idea journal for a warlock/witch series. They don't have anything to do with Find Me, but I have been thinking about such a collection for years. I'm wondering if after writing Find Me, it will finally be time for me to unleash my darker roots and tell the tales of other worlds. Its a dream I've kept hidden for a long time. Stay tuned...

Look for Find Me to release with Beachwalk Press late 2013 or early 2014.
