What's Ella doing now?

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!

I'm not exactly sure how it got to be the end of October already, but here we are. As 2014 winds down I'm gearing up to take my annual writing hiatus. I say that, but we all know it isn't true. I can't go that many days without writing. The voices inside my head would drive me right to a facility with a padded cell. But I do slow down and knowing that I don't have a self-imposed deadline for my next manuscript does take a lot of pressure off me especially during the holiday season

Now just because I'm taking a little break to recharge my batteries doesn't mean you won't be hearing from me. I still have a few things going on.

I have a PREORDER available for just .99 cents!

This book will release on November 10, 2014.

Let the temptation begin.

Chase Carlisle has never been so taken by any other woman, but when he met Tessa everything changed. Falling in love with the younger, sexy vixen was easy. She tempted him in ways he couldn’t resist. Now that she was his he’d do anything to keep her happy, safe, and fulfilled.

Tessa Burke had been mesmerized by Chase almost from the moment she saw the attractive, successful, older man. He helped her during a low point in her life. Their whirlwind romance was just beginning and life couldn’t be better. When Chase surprises her with a tropical, holiday getaway she can’t wait to spend four romantic days alone with him.

Promises of sun, sand, and swimming are in store for the couple, but will they ever make it out of the luxurious villa? This vacation may prove to be their hottest Christmas ever.

A short story featuring Tessa and Chase from Tessa’s Temptation. Both books stand alone, but to see how the couple started their journey check out their full length novel available now.

Contains adult content and graphic sexual situations

A Love Discovered... Steeple Town Series #giveaway

When they met, love was the last thing they were looking to discover…

Local bar owner Cali Tate has always been trendy, easy-going, and impulsive. She isn't afraid to take chances, but her carefree attitude may have put her restaurant in jeopardy. Her failing business is beginning to take a toll on her, both mentally and financially. When her best friend asks her to do a favor and take some books to the town's reclusive professor Cali welcomes the distraction. To her surprise, the sexy professor is nothing like she had pictured him.

Dr. Carter Stavros wants to be left alone. He's set in his ways and doesn't want to be bothered with the outside world. Wanting to escape the demons of his recent past, he moved to Steeple, taking a sabbatical from his teaching job to write a book. He wasn't prepared for the spunky, persistent bar owner to invade his life. But the more she pushes, the more intrigued he becomes.

Neither one of them expected to find any common ground, much less fall in love. What happens when an OCD professor collides with a risk-taking woman who won't take 'no' for an answer?

Content Warning: contains graphic sex and mature content

I'm excited to announce the release of A Love Discovered. If you've read A Love Stolen you've met Cali. See how the sassy bar owner discovers love with a sexy, domineering professor.

After lunch, another hour of conversation, and a long swim, Cali lounged on the chair by the pool. Her shoulder-length blonde hair dried naturally and curled at the ends. Carter watched as she closed her eyes and enjoyed the afternoon sun. Her tanned skin glistened with sunscreen and her tiny bikini was almost dry. He wondered how many hours of intense workouts created a body like hers.

"Are you admiring me again?" she asked with her eyes still closed.

"How many tattoos do you have?"

"Wouldn't you like to know?" She giggled.

"I would."

As improper as it was, he couldn't take his gaze away from her right nipple. The evidence straining against her damp bikini indicated a piercing of some sort. He'd never been more fascinated by anyone before. Throughout the years he'd seen quite a few attractive young women on campus, but he never acted on impulse when it came to students, no matter how tempting. Cali wasn't a student. She was a quirky, attractive woman who was very much in touch with her sexuality. She turned him on. He wanted to explore with her.

"Four."

He sat on the edge of the lounge chair, taking her right ankle into his hand. "Here." He outlined the small butterfly that permanently marked her skin.

"That's one." She opened her eyes when he trailed his hand up her leg and to her hip.

It had been years since he had pursued a woman. He'd gotten married when he was twenty-four and stayed faithful through the whole fourteen years of that turbulent relationship.

"Two." He swept his fingers over the pink-and-purple-colored rose petals sprinkled along her hip.

"Keep going."

He took her hand in his and examined more rose petals on the inside of her wrist. "Do they hold significance?" He traced his fingertips over the tattoo, indulging in her smooth skin beneath his touch. The way her flesh prickled in response instigated his actions.

"I like roses." She sat up, placed her legs across his lap, and leaned closer to his face. "My mother had the most beautiful rose bushes in our backyard." She pushed her hair to the side and tilted her neck. "Four."

"It's exquisite," he mumbled as he took in the ivy that started at her collarbone and flowed down the back of her shoulder blade.

"I wouldn't have pegged you for a man who likes ink on his woman."

"I'm not usually." He ran his thumb from the start of the tattoo to where it ended on her back. He wanted to feel every inch of her forbidden flesh. She shivered when he stopped. "It goes back to those boundaries you don't have."

Reaching out, she placed her palm on his cheek, directing him closer to her lips. "The question is…" She brushed her mouth against his chin. "Do you have enough for both of us?"

Excerpt...

As Trevor helped Lila up the porch steps, she wrapped her arms around his neck and brushed her lips against his jaw. She hadn’t taken her hands off him since they’d left Tate’s.

“I love to feel your stubble.” She ran her fingers along his cheek. “It’s sexy.”

“Keys?” He held out his hand and waited as she dug through her bag. She had him rock hard and ready to go. The fact that she’d rested her hand on his thigh the whole ride home hadn’t helped matters. It was the alcohol lowering her inhibitions, but that didn’t make it any easier not to respond.

“Here they are.” She dropped them into his hand. “Come inside with me.”

He opened the door and led her into the foyer. As soon as he let her go, she stumbled forward. He caught her by the waist and pulled her against him. He couldn’t take his eyes away from her lips.
“Do you want to kiss me?” Her warm breath caressed his mouth.

More than you know.

“Let me help you upstairs. I don’t want you to fall down the steps.” He scooped her up and carried her to the staircase. She was so light and dainty. She was still his perfect fit.

“You didn’t answer my question.” She placed soft, open-mouth kisses along his neck as he made his way to her old bedroom. He remembered sneaking up those steps many times, while her father slept down the hall. They still creaked, but this time he didn’t have to worry about getting caught.

“Of course I want to kiss you.” He pushed the door open with his shoulder and set her down by the bed.

She closed her eyes and leaned into him.

He swiped the hair from her face, took her chin between his fingers, and placed a chaste kiss on her lips.

She opened one eye and peered at him, waiting for more.

“That’s it?” Disappointment flooded her beautiful features.

“For tonight.” He tapped the tip of her nose with is finger. “I want you to remember when I kiss you.”

“I’ll remember.” She wrapped her arms around his neck. “You’re not easy to forget.”

He pried her arms from his body. “Believe me, I want to, but not tonight.”

“Why?”

“Because four hours ago you ran away from me,” he said. “Something made you run. Tell me why.”

He may not have wanted to take advantage of her physically while she was intoxicated, but he didn’t see why he couldn’t let her drunken lips tell him what she was afraid of.

 “I can’t.”

“You can’t what?” He needed to know what she thought about the two of them.

“I’m tired now.” She lifted her dress over her head and tossed it in the corner of the room. She stood before him in nothing but her white push-up bra and matching lace thong.

“Hell.” He couldn’t take his eyes off her toned, tanned body. He mindlessly licked his lips when he discovered her rose-colored nipples poking through the thin, silky material of her bra. Struggling with himself, he tried not to lower his gaze. He lost the battle as he greedily took in her scantily covered sex.

“Want to kiss me now?” She ran her fingers down her neck and over her breasts. “Want to touch me like this?” She moved her hand down her stomach and to the waistband of her panties.

He stepped closer to her and grabbed her wrist. He had to get her to stop or he’d lose all control.

“You want to do it?”

Book 2... Steeple Town Series

I hope you all had a great weekend and are gearing up for Monday. I know... I know... it's Monday already.

I'm happy to tell you that I submitted Book 2 of The Steeple Town Series to my editor on Friday night. A Love Discovered tells the story of a sassy bar owner and a very sexy, reclusive professor.

Here's a quick summary...

Local bar owner Cali Tate has always been trendy, carefree and impulsive. She isn’t afraid to take chances. Her failing business is beginning to take a toll on her both mentally and financially. When her best friend asks her to do her a favor and take some books to the town’s reclusive professor she gladly accepts the distraction. To her surprise, the sexy professor is nothing like she had pictured.

Dr. Carter Stavros wants to be left alone. He’s set in his ways and doesn’t want to be bothered with the outside world so he takes a sabbatical from his teaching job to write a book. Wanting to escape the demons of his recent past, he moves to Steeple. He wasn’t prepared for the spunky, persistent bar owner to invade his life. The more she pushes, the more intrigued he becomes.

Neither one of them expected to find any common ground much less fall in love. What happens when an OCD professor collides with a risk taking woman who won’t take no for an answer?

You'll be able to meet Cali  next week when A Love Stolen releases. Cali is a secondary character in that book.

Happy New Year! Bring on 2014...

happy new year photo: happy happy-new-year.gif

2013 was a good year.  I can't really complain. My kids are heathy and happy. My husband is doing well. Both of our families are slowly getting over the losses of his mom and my grandmother. We're in a good place. I look forward to what the new year will bring.

Professionally I've had a very productive year. I dabbled in self-publishing (The Pleasure Inn Series), received my rights back for three of my books from Noble Romance and I've contributed quite a bit to my Beachwalk Press back list (Surrender to Me and The Weekend Proposition). I developed a supportive and amazing Street Team.  I've made many new friends in the industry. Picked up some fantastic readers and have built up my Facebook page. I also had the opportunity to attend Authors After Dark in Savannah where I had the pleasure of meeting face-to-face a very good author friend (Lacey Wolfe), my fantastic publisher (Pamela Tyner) and a fellow Beachwalk Press author (Jaye Shields). I'm fortunate enough to say the words flowed freely this year too.

Which brings me to...

2014

I'm super excited to announce because I've been so productive I have three new releases scheduled to release the first three months of the new year. First up is my very first paranormal romance...

A love that transcends time…

As her 25th birthday approaches, Riley Sparrow begins to dream of a handsome, intriguing stranger. Each night the dreams get more intense and the stranger starts leaving her clues to his whereabouts. The dreams always end in a whisper…

Find Me.

Riley has denied her birthright her entire life. She descends from a strong line of witches and warlocks, but she's refused her powers up until now. With the help of her estranged grandfather she learns that her mystery man is from the past and his life is in danger. Will her grandfather help her travel back to 1963 to save the man she believes she's meant to be with? A man she knows nothing about but feels a strong connection to.

If she finds him, can she save him from the evil that haunts them both? By securing his past, she knows there can never be a future for them in her time.

Next is Book One in my Steeple Town Series...

Can time forgive the mistakes of the past?

Lila Crofton flees the town of Steeple when she learns of her boyfriend, Trevor Matheson's, betrayal. Trevor's one-night stand proves to be too much for the young lovers. Lila won't stick around and watch the only man she's ever loved move on with another. She heads to the city and starts over.

Six years later, recently divorced Sheriff Trevor Matheson is picking up the pieces of his life. When his high school sweetheart, Lila, returns to Steeple to bury her father, Trevor sees it as a sign. He's getting over a failed marriage and she's grieving the loss of her dad. They need one another. The timing couldn't be more perfect.

Can the two overcome the ghosts of their past and rekindle a love lost? Is there a second chance in their future, or is their stolen love gone forever?

Coming February 17, 2014

This is what I'm working on next for this series...

Book Two (A Love Discovered) will focus on Cali. She's the wild one of the group and finds herself taken with an older, intriguing recluse. He's more dominant than she's used to, but he finds a way to tame her heart.

Book Three (A Love Unexpected) will be Jenson's story. She's the straight-laced, Dartmouth graduate who never takes a chance until she meets a dark stranger who fills her every desire. Her one night stand leads to more than she ever expected.

And I'm super excited for the release of Book One in my sexy baseball romance...

Stealing His Heart

Will the bad boy pitcher strike out when it comes to love?

Shy music teacher Sophia Ballis has sworn off men. After a bad experience with a college jock she decides it’s better to be alone than to get burned again. She throws herself into her education and new job at a local private school.

Professional baseball pitcher Paxton Hughes is a player both on and off the field. He’s signed to the Kingston Crushers to bring home the coveted championship title. Nothing can get in his way. Serious relationships don’t mix with a life on the road and he never loses focus on the game. One-night stands are his specialty for a reason.

While out jogging one spring morning, the two collide, setting their course in motion. Pax is immediately drawn to the unassuming beauty. Sophia is aware of his reputation and decides one night of meaningless sex with the attractive Texas charmer is just what she needs to move on. Pax has other plans but will his bad-boy persona and demanding schedule ruin any chances of a happily ever after?

My 2014 is looking pretty full...

Lots of new books are planned for the new year.

I'm excited to announce that coming in January my very first paranormal romance is scheduled to release...

This book has been in my head for quite some time. Last year I finally sat down and put the words on the pages. I'm thrilled with the outcome. It's a very different book from me. I hope you'll agree when I say that I don't think there is another out there quite like it.
