You close your eyes and finally make the decision
to end your life only to have him show up. Gabriel, here to give you a second
chance for salvation. They say he’s an angel, but then again, they don’t have
to serve under him. He offers you a chance to be a member of the Frozen, a
group of demon hunters. Serve your sentence and you can ascend to heaven.
Refuse, well the punishment has been clearly laid out in the scriptures. It’s a
last chance. But when your body is frozen in time can your heart still beat?
Receiving devastating news, Kiriana moves across
the country only to get caught up in the world of our protectors The Frozen.
With each passing moment Nye and Kiriana are pulled into an attraction that
could be their ultimate demise or their greatest salvation…
All the while

sent from Hell to obtain the souls of humans around the world. Being assigned
to Earth as a punishment for crimes against the royal family, Damarion learns

was so sure was true.

I could see
her hand was reaching for the door handle which made me wonder if she actually
thought she was could jump and survive.
I laughed.
“I wouldn’t try it,” I warned,
shooting a look at her.
Her breathing increased and I could
see the tears in her eyes.
“Don’t cry,” it came out as an order
but it was really more of a plea. “It
won’t help.”
“Don’t tell me what the hell to do,”
she screamed with a fury I wasn’t prepared for.
Her eyes bore into me as she braced herself against the dashboard and
the headrest. “If you think I’m just
going let you touch…”
“I don’t want to touch you,” I
snapped.
That made her catch her breath and
her arms released their hold and crossed on her chest. Now she actually looked like she was pouting.
“What? I’m just supposed to want to get between your
legs because there’s a hole there. Nah.”
“Why did you grab me?” She growled through gritted teeth like I'd
just line jumped her at Target.
“You’re hurt.”
“You’re not going toward the hospital.”
“No, I’m not. They couldn’t help you.”
“Why?”
“Because the poison that’s about to
hit you in the next, say, five minutes, would take them hours to figure out.”
Shock crossed her face as she saw
her death coming on fast. I really
didn’t care. I’m sure my sudden desire
to become a savior was only due to my fear of Gabriel’s wrath. At least that’s what I was telling myself.

Like the beat of a primal drum
whispering the rhythm of an ancient dance, the lifestyle calls…
At the seasoned age of fifty-six,
Allen Bourke has resigned himself to the fact he’ll probably never find someone
to top he can also love. While he’s had wives and lovers, none of them endured
and he’s come to the conclusion the clock’s ticking and age is working against
him. Then a very intriguing Nicki Cartwright pings on his radar at what Allen
determines will be his last house party. He can’t help but notice while he and
his friends are getting older, the players emerging on the scene are forever
getting younger. Nicki's no exception. Determined to resist the vibes humming
between them, he only agrees to service her after his old friend, Kyle
Montgomery, convinces him it's entirely feasible. Then it’s brought to Allen’s
attention who Nicki really is. Knowing their pasts are forever intertwined, as
hard as he tries to ignore his heart, he finds himself yielding to the tides of
fate.
Born to senatorial royalty, Nicki
Cartwright has spent her entire life trying to shield her mother from her
father’s wrath while drifting further and further into a world where panic is
normal and anxiety is always on the edge of her reality. Tired of burning the
candle at both ends and forever trying to live up to the picture of
All-American perfection her father James Cartwright touts as his ace in the
hole during election cycles, Nicki finds herself on the path of self-discovery
in search of relief from the stressors continually swamping her mind. What she
doesn’t expect is to find who she thought she was is truly just a shadow of the
person she really is. And what scares her most is the fact Allen, the only
person she thought she could trust, has been holding a secret since before she
was born which could destroy her entire family.

“What
in the hell are you doing in a place like this on Christmas Eve?” Allen asked
point blank.
“What
the hell are you doing here?” Nicki countered.
She
was clearly going to test every ounce of patience Allen had established in his
thirty-some-odd years of living the life.
“Don’t
you have a family? Shouldn’t you be somewhere having dinner and eggnog? Opening
gifts? Eating stale fruit cake?” Determined to chip away her haughty exterior
and get to the very middle of her, Allen redirected his tone a bit more to the
empathetic side. Although, she had him in the same corner he’d backed her into.
Waiting with as much resolve to not jerk her to her feet, bend her over the end
of the couch she graced, flip the end of that teeny skirt up, and have his way
with her as he could muster, he clutched the ends of the arms of the chair.
“Parents? Siblings? Isn’t there anyone?”
“Yes.”
Her
clipped, non-descript answer irked Allen and he gritted his teeth to keep from
dressing her down. They were doing nothing more than talking at this point and
he owed her the courtesy of listening. Maybe if he could pry her open far
enough, she’d relinquish a bit and he could push the door further and offer
what he should have two nights ago. Safe harbor. Then maybe they could get on
with the nasty business of negotiating and finding out more about each other
and at some point maybe his dick could take over before the real business of
playing began.
“Do
they live in the area?”
“No.”
“Do
you?”
“Yes.”
For
Christ’s sake, this would never do. It was exhausting and at this rate they’d
be here until the sun rose and set again trying to get past one word answers.

Thor, in dolphin form, was enjoying the swim until his
lazy circuit was abruptly cut off by a seal pup with the temerity to snatch the
herring he’d caught right out of his mouth.
Before he could even think what
the fuck, the pup dove. Thor
followed, intending to grab his snack back and teach the pup a lesson about
stealing from dolphins. He saw the
little thief flip half of the herring to another pup, just as a huge, dark
shadow rocketed from below. Shark!
A goddamn shark! Thor saw red as he watched his little thief
throw himself into the path of the predator to keep its sibling from certain
death. Unfortunately, the shark latched
on and shook the helpless hero. Thor
backed up for more room and then accelerated at full ramming speed. The shark released the pup from its maw as it
went belly up in death. Its sibling was
circling and nudging him, but the little thief remained immobile in water
stained red from the savage bite. Thor
grabbed the wounded seal gently in his mouth and headed for shore; ignoring the
repeated ramming from the other pup. He
didn’t have time to explain he was trying to help, and besides, he didn’t speak
seal. He figured the other pup would
follow as far as he could, and then hang around the area until he and Auric
could nurse the wounded one back to health and release it.
He all but ran toward Auric the moment his feet touched
the sand. “Hurry, we need to stop the
bleeding. The pup was attacked by a
shark and…”
Before he
could continue a furious voice at thigh level, bellowed, “Leave me brother
alone!”
