Halloween Blog Hop... Beachwalk Press

Welcome! Thanks for stopping by. I know you have lots of fun stops to make so I won't keep you. Fall has always been my absolute favorite time of the year. I love the colors, the weather, the candy, pumpkins, pies, caramel apples, hayrides, carving jack-o-lanterns...

See what I mean?

Let's talk decorations. Yes, my house has been decorated since the last weekend in September. A few years ago my husband started a tradition ( he didn't know that's what he was doing at the time) when he bought me a ceramic Halloween themed decoration from Yankee Candles. The collection is called the Boney Bunch. I love them so much that each year in August (when the pieces come out) my sweet guy buys me a new one to add to my stash.

Here are some I've collected over the years.

Bone White and her seven dwarves. This is the newest addition...

The headless theme...

A skeleton puppy...

These two pieces aren't part of the same collection but they are cool and they are both from Yankee too...

This little guy lights up...

And the candy bowl (this is a dangerous one)...

Most of these are displayed on the shelves in my kitchen where I write. I love lighting them up and enjoying them throughout the month of October.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Happy Halloween!

October 31st? Already? How did that happen?

It's become a tradition in our home, as in many, to carve pumpkins a few days before Halloween. This year my boys were old enough to do most of the work themselves. Not sure how that happened either.

I thought I'd share the finished products...

This one is my husband's masterpiece. I think his name is Mr. Marbles.

My kids decided to go with Minions (the two on the ends)

.

When we first started carving about ten years ago, we only did one pumpkin with a standard pumpkin face. Through the years the designs have changed (last year my son did a Phillies "P") and evolved but one thing remains the same... TRADITION!

Have a happy, safe and spooky Halloween!
