Meet the Author... Tamaria Soana Give*Away

It is my pleasure to have my fellow Beachwalk Press author and good friend Tamaria Soana on the blog today. Her new novella Obsession released yesterday and she's being generous enough to give away an eBook copy to one lucky commenter.

 What motivates Tamaria Soana the author? Why do you write?

  Lol…To quiet the voices in my head. I’m a stay-at-home of little ones and it’s my escape.

When did you know you were a writer? Was it always your destiny or did you stumble upon your craft by accident?

 I’m still in disbelief that I am an author. I’m very new to this world and I still have so much to learn.

What is your favorite genre to write and why?

Romance and I’m dabbing in Erotica at the moment. So we shall see how that works out.

How many hours a day do you devote to writing? Do you have a set routine or do you write when the mood strikes?

    Being a mom it differs from day to day. Some days I can get a ton of writing done, others not at all.

Is there a certain aspect of the story you begin with? Do you create the characters first or do you come up with the plot?

    The general story idea. I don’t outline I allow my character’s to guide me. Sometimes they shock me, but really it’s their story and they should have the reigns.

Who is your favorite author? And, if given the opportunity to meet them, what would you ask them?

 Danielle Steel. I don’t think I would be able to speak, I would be awed.

What did you do when you found out your first book had been contracted?

 Squealed and then gchatted you!

Do you have any words of inspiration to aspiring authors? What advice would you offer a writer trying to publish?

   Don’t give up. The road to being published is long and very bumpy with many twist and turns. At the end you get to watch you manuscript transform into this amazing story. This has been an incredible six months for me.
