Psychic Seductions...Indigo Stars

Stephanie Beck

When it comes to love, sex, and seduction, these psychics break all the rules. Seven sexy stories and seven gifts of insight that will make you a believer.

I never thought I’d write a love story featuring psychics, but when Beachwalk Press puts out a call, I want to be part of it!

What Drew Me In?

I’m not a psychic follower. I don’t do my horoscope, don’t watch shows about them...really the psychic phenomenon rarely, if ever, pops on my radar. However, when the Psychic Seductions call went out at Beachwalk, I started thinking. What a challenge to have psychic abilities and also trust people—knowing their nature and judgment. Then Indigo Bravo came to mind, and with a name like that, she had to have something extra special.

Indigo's ability to create light with her mind was always a fun parlor trick, but since her cancer diagnosis, the parlor has closed for business. On the brink of major health failure, she can't help but wonder when her good luck ran out.
Dr. Lee Russell believes in healing by any means necessary. He uses his psychic powers in special cases when modern medicine just can't help. Indigo's case is special. She's like him, yet she wastes her gift creating stars. He heals her, but doesn't expect much, not until he gets sick himself and only Indy's touch can ease his pain. He's never seen himself as anything more than a healer, but to save his own life, Lee will have to mentor Indigo to reach beyond the stars and use her gift in ways she never imagined.

Available for .99 for a limited time only!

~Excerpt~

Super Love Excerpt:

"If I come home…I'm going to need time and training." The words tripped past Dinah's lips before she could think of the hundred other reasons she should send Myles away and search out a new way to be worthwhile. "I've kept up my speed, but I haven't used my other powers since the train incident."

Myles sighed and tucked her closer. "Lately it seems like every crazy person who can do something dangerous and violent does it. I don't have a lot of time, but we'll get you back to fighting weight. I've got a few new heroes who will help too."

She supposed it was too much to ask for things to have remained unchanged. She had been Myles's main partner. Not sidekick, she was simply too badass to be a sidekick, but the last she'd heard, Man of Wonder worked with Crypto Man, a man-beast with ruthless speed and strength. She couldn't expect Myles to make room for her at his side when she wasn't even sure she could fight any more.

Myles kissed down the side of her neck and to her shoulder, resting there a long moment. "Things will be different this time, but I've missed you so much. We'll make a new start. It will be great."

Dinah brought his hand to her lips and kissed his palm, the strong, amazing palm that had moments before helped bring her amazing pleasure. "I've missed you too. I'm ready to go home."

Crypto Love Excerpt:

Penna closed her door and leaned against it, a little giddy at having her dream man in her quarters. He stalked around, disdain on his face. The look alone made her hot.

"What are we doing in here? You gonna jump me or something?" Crypto Man asked.

So blunt. After the fussy manners The Warden demanded as part of the class, the straight honesty endeared him to her. This is who she was waiting for.

"Want me to?"

He turned to her sharply. "I'm pretty sure I can kick your ass."

"Oh, you meant that jump." She sauntered closer, closing the distance between them with hips more than anything. "I thought you meant seduction."

He snorted. "Yeah, right. Why am I here?"

She ran her hand up his chest. "Are you sure you're so willing to pass on the seduction? I hate to sound immodest, but what I lack in superhero skills, I make up for in enthusiastic screwing."

He wrapped his fingers around her wrist, stilling her progress. The intensity in his eyes warred with something she thought might be disbelief. Maybe she came on too strong.

"Fine," she said and added a bright smile. "Business first."

He let her loose and stalked toward her bookshelf. She sat on the single bed to watch him. His animalistic stealth appealed to her at a very base level. She couldn't believe how quickly her desire sparked and blazed. She crossed her legs. Business first.

Fallen Love Excerpt:

"You look so happy," Erica said.

Sparrow leaned on his forearms on the marble island, a light blush warming his cheeks. "I am happy, and I have you to thank. I didn't consider the possibility of being happy in life again. I planned to survive for Ruby, but couldn't ask to thrive. I'm excited for the first time in years."

"I can't tell you how pleased I am. Do you have any other concerns? You might still have aftereffects. The surgery is very new, and I can't say other things won't come up."

He reached across the counter and took her hands. Erica swallowed hard and tried to keep her face expressionless, even as her heart raced.

Sparrow tilted his head, gazing deep into her eyes. "I have concerns about how I can thank you for everything. I know the fraternity donated to your research, but I want to do more."

"Oh." The gift Man of Wonder gave more than covered her operating costs for the next year. Money, when it came to working with supers, didn't usually raise problems. "I really want you to not worry about it. This helped me with my research. I understand the super brain more now than I did before. This research will allow me, and others, to make strides in quality of life."

He shook his head and squeezed her fingers, his warm hands soft and strong. "There has to be more. What can I do for you?"

Her mouth went completely dry as her mind ran directly to the plethora of things she wanted him to do to her. Tangled limbs. Hot, wet kisses. Deep, throaty moans and miles of pleasure.

"Would you like to fly?" he asked. "I could take you flying."

Stephanie Beck's Summer Hop...

Final Stop
Fantasy Pool
By Stephanie Beck

It’s been a long blog hop. Lots of great stops and interesting people along the way, but now it is time to relax. We’ve looked at cocktails, Greece, chocolate and crafts...are you tired? I think it’s time to take a cue from Dorian in Home to Hellas...and hit the water.

Feel free to take a dip in my pool.

Are floating cocktail coolers classy? I don’t think I care. There are a few, so help yourself. There’s the shallow end for just dipping in your toes if you get a little warm in all this sunshine. Or, you could hit the deep end and stretch out on a floating lounge. You’ve done so much, you earned a break!

There are no water games, no splashing, no fussing, just quiet, warm water moving with gentle waves—hey, take it easy—no cannon balls!

What’s that? You need a book? I’ve got you covered :)

Just One More by Stephanie Beck Spotlight/Review

Two is enough, but three could be everything.
Kit and Adam Jacobs know what their marriage needs—Gavan Karik. He's the one man they both want and the only one who can make their relationship complete.
Making Gav part of the family comes with a price. Family, infidelity and self-worth issues plague Gav, but Adam and Kit are willing to tackle those issues if Gav is willing to commit.
For every problem they conquer, another one pops up. Not only are the three adults working to meld a broken family into one, they're also struggling with a blackmailer threatening to out the two men's sexuality and issues with the kids being mistreated at school. With each battle all three have to decide if the vision each sees for the future can match and if the reward is worth the fight.
Content Warning: Strong language, graphic sex, and explicit incidents of laundry washing within.
Available in print and digital

"And the sleeping arrangements?" Gav asked.
Adam knew this question had been weighing on the other man. Gav had played thirds in relationships before. Usually, the third was a plaything, in for pleasure, out for the intimacy.
"You'd be in our room. The 'our' would include you," Adam told him. "I'll steal your t-shirts to wear to bed, and we'll share the task of warming Kit's cold toes every night. We'll have amazing sex when we're all in the mood together. We'll have nearly as amazing sex in pairs if the third is in the mood to watch or sleep. There won't be favorites, but, because we've been together so long, Kit and I might slip up there on occasion. You'll have to be patient with us, Gav."
"And once our open relationship includes you," Kit said, "it turns into a closed one. We don't cheat or lie, and we tell each other if our needs change."
Adam watched to see what Gav's reaction to that big rule would be. It was one he supported wholeheartedly. Within the terms of their relationship, he and Kit had never once cheated. They were open, honest, and made the decisions and compromises needed to keep them happy. But his heart was hers. Always. If Gav decided to take the plunge, Adam's heart would grow to include him, and he would never cheat on him either.
Loyalty and faithfulness in an open relationship seemed like oxymorons, but not the way he and Kit worked. They were a unit, a family. If Gav chose, he could be the piece that had been missing from the start.
Gav covered his face and rubbed much harder than Adam would have rubbed any place on his lover's body. He didn't like to see Gav being so rough with himself. He hated when the other man treated his body harshly. It was because no one else had cared for him. He saw himself as worth less than most and acted on that vision. If he'd quit being stubborn, Adam would try every day to prove him wrong. There would be fabric softener for Gav's clothes and something sweet for him when he wanted a treat. It was the little things Adam knew he and Kit took for granted that would make the most difference with Gav.
"I don't know." Gav didn't look past his hands at either of them as he spoke. "I'll think about it. There's nothing in there I don't think I can do, I just…I need to think."
"That's fine, Gav," Kit said gently. "Time is something we have, and we'd never rush you."
"I know that." His sigh was heavy and haggard. "I know all the good things about you guys, and Kit, it's nothing in you that's missing. It's me. You have to know that. No matter what happens, it's not you. It's me."
"But I love you just the way you are," she replied. "So that means there's something amazing in you if you'll let it out."

My Review...

I purchased this book  when it first came out about a year ago. I had never read a full length menage story before, but the excerpt drew me in. It was the intrigue of the family dynamic that caught my attention. Let me say, I was not disappointed. The theme of the book and the characters have stayed with me long after I turned off my Kindle.

The character of Gavin ranks up there as one of my favorite heros. He's far from perfect, has flaws, self doubts and a small problem with impregnating women. By the time he finds Kit and Adam, he's in need of some saving. He needs the structure of a family unit just as much as Kit and Adam need him in their lives.

Just One More is an original tale depicting a unique family. Ms. Beck did a fantastic job portraying an unconventional family who care for and respect one another. Kit is the perfect mom who has so much love in her heart for all of her children. She cares for her family and always has room for "one more". While I enjoyed all of the characters, Gav holds a special place in my heart. He's alpha but has a tender side and when it comes through, he's adorable. It was great watching him evolve and become the man we all knew he could be.

This book shows that you don't have to have a traditional family to be normal and in today's ever- changing world the theme of the novel couldn't be more true. If you're looking for something different and enjoy a creative twist, and you don't mind m/m then this is the book for you.

Five Stars from me!
