I've been in a writing slump. Not because I'm blocked. It's quite the opposite and I know what my problem is. INFIDELITY! Yes, I committed the ultimate sin when it comes to creating those hot, sexy Alpha men like reading from me.
Okay, so I'm being dramatic, but I've always been a one woman hero when it comes to my writing. I may have thirty ideas swirling around in my head at any given time, but I have to write one book at a time. This summer I decided to work on a few manuscripts at once. Big mistake! It drained my creativity and in the end I accomplished practically nothing.
Now that we're moving into the fall season, it's time for me to reevaluate my goals and figure out what I'm doing and when I'm doing it.
First up... I'm excited to announced I'm writing a book with my good friend Lacey Wolfe. It's a tale of two brothers. It's one book told in two parts. I have the first part which centers on Hudson Maddox. Here's a little summary...
No nonsense real estate attorney Hudson Maddox puts everything he has into his company. He’s spent the last ten years traveling, securing clients and making big deals. His charismatic personality makes him quite popular with women. He rarely goes to bed alone. At thirty-five he’s growing tired of hook-ups, bachelor auctions and women who are only after his checkbook. He’s become restless and bored, but when a new client wreaks havoc on his very orderly life she invigorates him.
House flipper Kennedy Harper knows her way around a construction site. She’s made a career of buying homes, fixing them up and turning them over. She’s never been much of a girly girl so when she catches the eye of Hudson, the town’s popular, sexy bachelor, she’s not sure what to do about him. He has a reputation, and not with women who aren’t afraid of hard work. He intimidates her, and that excites her.
Hudson’s not sure what it is about the flighty and carefree Kennedy, but he can’t seem to get her off his mind. He’s never met anyone like her. She’s chaotic and in the moment. The complete opposite of anything he’s used to. Can the free spirit invade the heart of a meticulous man who puts his job above all else?

If you like stories where the hero and heroine don't hit it off from the get go this may be the book for you. If you enjoy second chance stories then you'll definitely want to check this book out because Lacey's story immediately follows mine and she's revisiting the past with her characters.
Look for The Maddox Brothers to hit the virtual shelves on November 13, 2015.

Now I wasn't completely unproductive this summer. I did manage to write a solid 20k on my menage vampire novel that so many have expressed interest in. I love where these characters are taking me and I'm anxious to finish it. But, I've never written a menage before and writing from three different POV's can be a bit tricky. I don't want to rush this book. My plan is to pick this one back up when I'm finished with The Maddox Brothers which should be next month. Here's the blurb for True Companions...
Maxim and Grant have been lovers for a century. Companions in the truest sense. What happens when a human woman shares their home and their bed? Can two destined souls open their hearts to a third?

There you have it. The above two books should wrap up my 2015. Then I have a long list of ideas and titles that I'll work on in 2016. Just one at a time. I've learned my lesson!
Can't wait for our book and True Companions.
