Facebook... EPIC Suckage! Stay connected with me.

So I'm sure many authors and bloggers are feeling the hit from the new way Facebook is allowing or not allowing our "likers" to see our posts. We've spent months, and in some cases years building a fan base. A place where our readers could come to see what we are up to and what's releasing next. A forum for them to get to know us. The pages feature was a fantastic option when it came to getting the word out on our new releases. I guess it was only a matter of time before FB pulled the rug out from underneath us. I hear they are even deciding whether you should still like a page. If you're not interacting with a page they do you a favor and unlike it for you. That's pretty ridiculous.

I'm already feeling the hit. My sales are down because in such a saturated market as the book market it's hard for my voice to be heard. You guys have so many options in the way of authors and books these days. Without a social forum it's very difficult for an author to connect with existing readers and find new ones. It especially sucks when we already spent time and energy building that reader base and now all of those wonderful people who chose to like us can't see us in their newsfeed.

What can we do? I'm not an expert on promo but I'm willing to try hard to keep readers and find new ones. I hope you'll help me.

1 - If you already follow my author page please be sure to like, comment and share the posts. Some interaction is better than none. If you haven't liked me, please consider connecting with me there.

2 - Feel free to FRIEND me on FB. When I started my author page several years ago, I stopped pushing people to friend me thinking the page was the way to go. Who knew? If you'd like to send me a friend request you can do that at...

3 - Did you know I have a READERS' GROUP/STREET TEAM?

In this group I post excerpts, do cover reveals, talk about my upcoming projects and hold exclusive giveaways. It's a very interactive group. I love getting up close and personal with my readers and this is proving to be the perfect place to do that. If you'd like to find out more about my books, I'd love to have you...

I understand that FB is a business and they have a right to do whatever they want with their business but I'd hate to miss out on finding all of you. I love getting messages and having you post on my wall when you love something I've written. Somedays your comments keep me going. I don't want that to stop. Please FIND ME!

Thanks!

Ella
xoxo
