Welcome Leah B... Book Nerd 101

I am so excited to be here and I want to thank Ella Jade for the opportunity to post today
I am Leah B and I'm the creator/blogger for Book Nerd 101

I started blogging a year ago (yesterday was actually my 1 year Blogiversary)  I started this on a whim after reading The Fallen Star Series by Jessica Sorensen.  I joined one of Jessica's all day giveaways and I had a blast.  There a met a bunch of awesome bloggers and I wanted to learn more.  I started off small and I've been trying to build it up ever since.

I'm an Indie Author supporter all the way, but love published work as well.  I do not discriminate.  Some of my favorite genres are YA, NA Contemporary, Biographies and Memoirs, Paranormal, Romance, Erotic.  At Book Nerd 101, I participate in Blog Tours, Release Day Blitz, Cover Reveals, Author Spotlights, Reviews, Guest Posting, Author Interviews, etc.  I have recently taken on the job of a Beta reader and I am loving every second of me.  Please make sure to contact me if you are interested in some promotion and help with whatever.  I love helping out authors anyway that I can, so I'm usually open to any posts to help promote.

So for this guest post, I thought I would share with you some of my favorite books thus far in 2013.  This is a list of my top 5 books, accompanied by Goodreads synopsis, cover picture and my reviews

5.  Don't Kill Dinner by Jennifer Martinez

“I love you Kenna and I will never lose you. I promise.”

There are three rules when it comes to being a vampire in New Orleans.
1) Don’t kill dinner.
2) Don’t feed from people you know.
3) Don’t tell anyone.

Not too hard, right? Wrong. Kenna is a new vampire filled with a passion that has turned into an uncontrollable lust for blood.
Will Arthur be able to stop her feeding spree before the coven comes after her or is Kenna beyond saving?

Arthur has been watching Kenna for years, wanting her to try her own hand in life before he gave her the ultimate proposal. Now that she has accepted, will his love be enough to save her?

4. Shattered by C.C. Brown
When it rains it pours….

Hard-nosed and self-reliant Dallis O'Brien has had her fair share of devastation. Her father's tragic accident sparked what seemed like a domino effect of heartbreak and loss. Unable to shake the fear of enduring any more pain, she builds walls around her heart, hoping to heal on her own.

Dallis' road to recovery is disrupted when she meets Grayson Rivera, a tattooed, coffee shop owner who, by appearances alone, isn't her typical match. Stubborn and hesitant to let him in, Dallis finally succumbs to Grayson's persistence, where he challenges her to face her loss while also having the walls of her heart broken down.

With Grayson's assistance, Dallis must decide if she is willing to learn how to be weak in order to be strong.

3. Breaking Nova by Jessica Sorensen

Nova Reed used to have dreams-of becoming a famous drummer, of marrying her true love. But all of that was taken away in an instant. Now she's getting by as best she can, though sometimes that means doing things the old Nova would never do. Things that are slowly eating away at her spirit. Every day blends into the next . . . until she meets Quinton Carter. His intense, honey brown eyes instantly draw her in, and he looks just about as broken as she feels inside.

Quinton once got a second chance at life-but he doesn't want it. The tattoos on his chest are a constant reminder of what he's done, what he's lost. He's sworn to never allow happiness into his life . . . but then beautiful, sweet Nova makes him smile. He knows he's too damaged to get close to her, yet she's the only one who can make him feel alive again. Quinton will have to decide: does he deserve to start over? Or should he pay for his past forever?

1. Who He Is by S.Q. Williams

Eliza Smith has never been the one to seek a relationship. She’s never dated a guy in her life, never even hugged a man (outside of her father/manager of the hot and popular rock band, FireNine) but when she decides to spend her summer on tour with FireNine, it all changes. Eliza really gets to meet Gage Grendel - her former crush from high school and the lead singer of FireNine - and witness sides to him to which she’ll begin to truly despise.
She’ll ignore him, she’ll dislike his ways, she’ll do anything to try and stay away from him until Gage finally gets her to slip up and give in. She agrees on a casual fling with Gage, but soon they’ll both see how the fling will blur into something they can’t control and when it’s finally time for Eliza to go and accomplish her own dreams, she’ll know there’s more she took from Gage than she ever thought possible.
