Tease Us Thursday... #teaseusthursday

Welcome back to our Teaser segment. We've got a few enticing reads for you today.

Above the tree line the night sky stretched out, dark as black velvet.  The big-bellied moon rose, not quite waxed full and coated everything in soft silver.  Tessa found it magical and said so.
Lucas left the swing to offer her his hand and she took it.  “Come dance with me,” he said, the last thing she expected to hear from his lips. “It’s something I’ve dreamed about a thousand times.”
Enchanted, Tessa took his hand and he led her out into the yard.  They slow danced together in the moonlight.  At first there was no music but the crickets and the other night insects but Lucas began singing an old Jim Croce song from long before their time. She remembered the name of it, Time In A Bottle.  They’d heard it on an oldies radio station in their teens and both liked the poignant tune.  Lucas bought a Croce CD the next day and for a long time, Tessa recalled, it’d been their song.  Maybe it still was, she thought, with hope.
If I could save time in a bottle,” Lucas crooned, his voice true on the notes, “that I’d like to do is to save every day until eternity passes away just to spend them with you.”
How could he sing the words, she wondered, and yet insist their time together had to be  fleeting.  Short term wouldn’t work and she knew it.  For them, it had to be all or nothing, everything or heartbreak.

“You have the most amazing hair, Chunks.”His hand clipped my shoulder, his fingers grazed my neck, and he scooped up the dark fountain of my hair. I felt goose flesh erupting all over me like lies.
“Hah.”
“Really. It’s like...um...a thunderstorm at night. Oh, hell, you’re the one who’s good with words. And numbers.”
“And laundry.”
“Oh, yeah. That’s a given.”
I had to battle to suppress a sudden giggle. No way was I going to interrupt this moment.
The soft bristles began licking at my scalp. He dragged the length of my hair out and swept the brush along it, like he was honing a razor. I shivered as the gorgeous ripple of tension swept from my head down through my body. Against my will, my breath began to curl up inside me.
“Tilt your head forward.”
Of course I did it. Even faced with losing him from my life, even as I wondered if I should just hate him and be done with it, I still did whatever he asked. As he pulled the brush up he glanced it across the point of my shoulder, making me jump in surprise. Then he kneaded it into the mound of hair he’d bunched up at the back of my head. This time the bristles bit like teeth and my whole scalp, my whole body, came alive. My skin sang, from my toes to my head. My nipples peaked, my throat flushed, my pussy ached with want.

Jennifer James

She just stripped in front of an NYPD detective…

The glow-in-the-dark water at Camp Sunny Woods left Chloe Sanders with the ability to disappear from sight.

Thirteen years later, she uses her “gift” to take out criminals when she can. If she’s got to be part of a freak show, she’s going to do some good while in the buff.

And he’s enjoying studying every luscious curve…

Color blind detective Jacob Greiff smokes to weaken the overwhelming messages his nose sends him. One summer camp trip was enough for him. His priority right now is busting the vigilante leaving burglars tied up with panty hose and women’s scarves.

He thinks he’s hallucinating when he sees a petite, bare foot brunette in an enormous trench coat at his crime scenes because for the first time in years, he’s seeing someone in full color.

He’s not sure he’s buying it, but Chloe sure looks great when she’s “invisible.”

Despite his own supernatural abilities and the raging lust between them, Greiff wonders if Chloe isn’t some kind of nut who gets off on public nudity. She insists she can disappear from view when naked, that he’s the only one who can see her when she’s in the buff.

Their shared past comes to a treacherous intersection when a man shows up at Chloe’s apartment and informs them at gun point it’s time to report for duty—or else.
