Meet the Author... Lacey Wolfe

 

 I'm thrilled to have my fellow author and good friend Lacey Wolfe with me today. She's celebrating the release of her BSDM novella Bound by Pleasure.

What motivates Lacey Wolfe the author? Why do you write?

I write because the voices in my head make me. J LOL. I have been writing for many years, whether it was a journal or short story. I enjoy it and find that it’s just a part of who I am. My motivation comes from everyday life and I try to make my stories as realistic as possible

When did you know you were a writer? Was it always your destiny or did you stumble upon your craft by accident?

 It was always my destiny. Even in elementary school, I would have little articles published in the school newsletters. Some are quite funny when I got back and read them.

What is your favorite genre to write and why?

I just got into the BDSM genre and have found I really like it. And they really flow. I have also moved into some sweeter romances and really enjoy writing those as well. I feel like I can create a story and step away from sex…which is a big part of the erotic genre.

How did you get into eBook publishing?

I was a book reviewer for a few years. It was then I discovered the world of eBooks. At first I thought myself it was a fad…but it’s not going anywhere.

How many hours a day do you devote to writing? Do you have a set routine or do you write when the mood strikes?

During the school year while the kids are at school, I devote most of my day. This summer, I’m lucky if I devote 2 hours a week! But I do try to sit down when the kids are away and see if the plot hits. Usually I can jot down a few notes and then the voices start speaking. I love it though when they invade my dreams. I always know it’s going to be an awesome day then!

Is there a certain aspect of the story you begin with? Do you create the characters first or do you come up with the plot?

For me, it’s usually a scene. So far it’s always been the beginning scene. However, I am currently working on the last Hot Bods book and I already know the ending. I just have to get there now.

 I am actively working on the last Hot Bods book. I am so sad to see this series come to an end, but I think readers will be happy with the final book.
