Happy St. Patrick's Day - eBook/Amazon G.C.

Hello! Thanks for stopping by to celebrate the St. Patrick's Day Blog Hop! I'm thrilled you could join me.

I come from an Italian home, so we didn't really do much to mark the holiday, but it was my parent's wedding anniversary. So, in our house it was their day.  I do remember one particular St. Patrick's Day that didn't go so smoothly...

I was eight months pregnant with my first son. It was a blustery day in Philadelphia and I had to take the train home from work. It was March of 2000, so the holiday fell on a Friday that year. The route I needed to take made its way through some pretty undesirable neighborhoods and unfortunately the train broke down and all the passengers were asked to evacuate. This wasn't a rare occurrence. Usually we could wait for the next train to arrive, but because it was rush hour and they were having track difficulty, the conductor told us it was going to be a long wait. I remember some people saying they could walk from the stop, but I was too far from home. I had absolutely no idea where I was. It was crowded, cold and getting late. I didn't even have a cell phone back then. I had to use a payphone (do those things even exist anymore?). I called my husband and asked him to come and get me, but he had no idea where I was. Apparently GPS wasn't a common luxury either. Here I was, very pregnant and very helpless.

I hung out on the platform for over an hour. I was tired and hungry and my little baby (Jake) was kicking like a wild man. It doesn't surprise me at all that he went on to excel in karate. When I finally made it home it was almost eight o'clock. What usually took me an hour to get home turned into a three hour ordeal. When I think of St. Patrick's Day, that night always stands out in my head. I've since moved to New Jersey and I haven't taken a train in twelve years! I think I'm scarred. lol

Hopefully your St. Patrick's Day memories are filled with cheer!

Now let's get to the fun stuff. I have a brand new release scheduled for Monday and I'd love to give you a copy. Just leave me a comment and you'll be entered in a random drawing to win an eBook copy of Crossfire of Love. I'll also include a $5 Amazon G.C.!

Here's the blurb...

Can an arranged marriage lead to love?

Recent college graduate Gabriella has finally married the man of her dreams, the older, charismatic attorney Lorenzo Martinez. She's had a crush on him for as long as she can remember and always imagined they'd one day find their happily ever after. Unfortunately, they enter into a union arranged by their fathers.

Lorenzo is charming, protective, and loyal to his crime lord father Carlo. When Carlo asks Lorenzo to marry Gabriella he jumps at the opportunity. He's been drawn to her for many years and knows by marrying her he's helping to protect her father.

Gabby is resentful and won't be Lorenzo's charity case. But sparks fly and the couple soon gives into their desire, realizing they were meant to be together.

What happens when Carlo's enemies threaten their future? Will someone get caught in the crossfire?

Content Warning: graphic sex, some violence

Remember to include your e-mail address for a chance to win an eBook copy of Crossfire of Love and a $5 Amazon G.C.

  21. About all we do for St. Patty's Day is wear a little green around here (my favorite part is dressing the toddler up for holidays!). Thanks for joining the blog-hop! This is the first time I've followed one and loving finding new (to me) authors! I've never read a mob-type romance (I'm more historical than anything). Sounds pretty interesting :)
