Inspiration comes in strange places. I know many writers have music playing when they create. I've often said I need total silence when writing. Some of my best work gets written when everyone else in the house is asleep. It isn't that I don't like music. I love it. I just can't have it on when I'm writing.
Anyway, I was in the shower the other day (that's where some of my best ideas are born) and I was humming the Katy Perry song The One That Got Away. Don't know why but that tune has been stuck in my head for days. Maybe now there was a reason. As I sang the lyrics, I started thinking about a new story. It came out of nowhere. And quite frankly, has nothing to do with the song, at least not directly. But something in my subconscious made me create the story when I thought about the song. I'm not complaining. I've written 10K in two days.
Here's a little peek...
Gracie Miller is a natural submissive and she'd thought she'd found her other half in Cade Jameson. He'd helped her through a difficult time in her life. She was young and impressionable, but Cade knew her body. He tapped into her submissive side and brought her more pleasure than she could ever have imagined. They were perfect for one another. When he tells her it's over and asks her to leave she's devastated, but because she's obedient she does what he tells her to do.
The story begins two and a half years later when Gracie returns a new woman. She disappeared to the city and found a "Master" who showed her what she was truly capable of. Now she's back and she wants to show Cade exactly what kind of submissive she could be for him. After five minutes of being together, they have explosive sex and Cade is left wondering why Gracie brings out this side of him.

Yeah, see I don't know what that song had to do with a D/s relationship either, but I got a book out of it. I just go with it. Inspiration and all...
Stay Inspired!
